We are setting up the Friends of CNCS to help continue promoting ‘part-singing in the Country Districts’.

We are asking Friends for a donation of £50 per annum. For this, Friends will get:

      • Early notice of concerts
      • Discounted tickets
      • Recognition in programmes

But above all, we want to develop a relationship with Friends and we want them to feel engaged with what we are doing. So, we will be holding events exclusively for Friends throughout the year, led by the Musical Director. They will be about sharing in our music and interpreting it, for example by attending rehearsals or pre-concert workshops.

The Friends’ Scheme is ours. If we are asking people to get engaged with the Choir, we first need the Choir to feel engaged with Friends. We have a great story to tell about our history and our values, the range of our repertoire, the quality of the soloists and orchestras who choose to perform with us and, above all perhaps, about being inclusive.

We believe the Friends’ Scheme will help us thrive and that we are all best placed to make this happen.
